Job Description & How to Apply Below
We’re hiring a Founding Product Designer to shape how developers, partners, and internal teams experience our platform, while establishing the design culture and systems that scale with us.
What You Will Build- User Research:
Deeply understand our users – developers integrating Sapiom, partners joining the Access Network, and operations teams managing agent transactions. Conduct research that surfaces unmet needs, validates assumptions, and informs product direction. Turn qualitative insights into design decisions. - Product Design:
Own the design of our dashboard, developer tools, partner experiences, and internal systems. Create interfaces that make complex financial infrastructure feel simple and trustworthy. Balance speed with craft – ship fast, learn fast, improve continuously. - Visual Identity & Brand:
Extend and evolve Sapiom's visual identity across product surfaces. Partner with external agencies when needed, but own the translation of brand into product. Ensure consistency and quality across every touchpoint developers and partners encounter. - Prototyping & Validation:
Translate product vision and strategy into tangible prototypes that the team can react to and users can test. Use prototypes as thinking tools to align stakeholders, surface edge cases, and de-risk decisions before engineering investment. - Collaboration & Shipping:
Work shoulder-to-shoulder with engineering to prioritize, scope, and ship at high velocity. You're not a designer who hands off specs – you're in the details, adjusting as you go, making tradeoffs in real-time to get excellent work out the door. - UX Optimization:
Continuously improve the usability of shipped experiences. Identify friction through analytics, feedback, and your own product instincts. Advocate for the small improvements that compound into exceptional experiences.
- Insights Engine:
You’ve conducted at least 20+ structured user interviews, distilling them into a feature and UX map that identifies pain points, value opportunities, where developers are getting stuck, and how we can reduce time-to-value. - Research Systems:
You've built lightweight research practices that regularly surface user insights. The team makes better product decisions because of what you've learned. Key assumptions have been validated (or invalidated) through user feedback. - Hybrid UX Pattern:
You’ve designed and launched UI patterns specifically for AI-human collaboration (e.g., clear attribution for agent actions, human-in-the-loop checkpoints, and streaming states). - Accelerated Alignment:
Product strategy doesn't live in abstract documents – it lives in interactive prototypes the team can see, react to, and test. You've helped the team move faster by making ideas tangible earlier. - Seamless
Collaboration:
Engineers love working with you. Handoffs are clean (or nonexistent). You're flexible on implementation details but firm on what matters for the user. Shipping velocity has increased, not decreased, with design involvement. - Elevated Identity:
Whether through your own work or agency partnership, Sapiom's visual identity has matured and been systematized. The brand translates consistently from marketing to product to partner materials.
- Full-Stack Designer:
You move fluidly from research to wireframes to high-fidelity UI to production collaboration. You don't need a large team to do excellent work—you're comfortable owning the entire design surface. - You Ship:
You have strong opinions on craft, but you're pragmatic about tradeoffs. You know when to polish and when to learn. Your portfolio shows work that actually made it to users, not just concepts. - Systems Thinker:
You see patterns across surfaces and create reusable components, consistent interactions, and scalable design foundations. You're building for the product we'll have in two years, not just today. - User-Obsessed but Business-Aware:
You advocate fiercely for users while understanding the strategic context. You can articulate why a design decision matters for the business, not just the experience. - Radically Iterative:
You have a low ego, high craft mentality. You’d rather put a rough wireframe in…
