Designer I focuses on the production of project documents with an emphasis on assisting and supporting a project and associated design. The position requires the learning of design, permit and drawing processes while adhering to and implementing design, regulatory and firm standards.

• Reports to Job Captain level or above
• Drafting required for all project work including floor plans, elevation, sections, details, and renderings
• Provides assistance to project teams and other staff members as required and may be directed by immediate levels above like Designer II or III on tasks
• Prepares project documentation [design presentations and construction documents]
• Works on 1 primary, single‑family residential project but assists with additional projects or presentations as necessary
• Assists with other general office tasks that facilitate day‑to‑day operations of the office as needed
• Documents meeting minutes and project decisions
• Focus on learning office policies, drafting standards, project communications, and ArchiCAD

• Accredited degree in Architecture
• 0‑2 years minimum of experience
• Non‑licensed and working towards licensure
• Excellent ability to design, draw, model and communicate visually
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proactive, organized, and collaborative with exceptional problem‑solving skills
• Demonstrated skill in 3D modeling/BIM software and 2D drafting (ArchiCAD preferred, but not required)
