Who We Are Looking For:

The preferred candidate will have an interest in working in a dynamic and collaborative global design environment with a diverse range of public assembly building types, including thedesign of sports venues, convention centers, community buildings, transportation facilities and much more!

What Your Day Could Consist Of:
  • Leads the delivery of architectural projects from conception through construction, ensuring quality and timely completion.
  • Conducts thorough research on code requirements to validate the feasibility of design solutions.
  • Manages project resources including budgets, work plans, consultants, and schedules to align with project goals.
  • Coordinates closely with the Project Manager to track key deliverable dates and project milestones.
  • Develops innovative design solutions that meet client specifications while preparing and presenting accurate budget and timeline estimations.
  • Maintains strong collaboration with the Project Leadership Team, including the Project Designer, Project Manager, and Principal in Charge.
  • Acts as a liaison between clients and the architectural team, ensuring clear communication and alignment of expectations.
  • Facilitates ongoing communication through team meetings, detailed minutes, and project updates shared with consultants and internal teams.
  • Ensures compliance of all project documentation with Populous policies and industry standards.
  • Leads and motivates the project team to achieve successful, on-time, and within-budget project delivery.
  • Oversees construction administration tasks, including processing submittals, RFIs, and other construction-related documentation.
  • Provides leadership in the office, offering coaching, mentoring, and professional development to staff.
  • Conducts regular work reviews, identifying areas for improvement and effectively communicating concerns to project teams.
  • Determines staffing requirements for projects as needed to support project success.
  • Perform additional responsibilities and duties as assigned to meet project and organizational needs.
Requirements For Success:
  • Possessing strong relationship-building, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Expertise in guiding design, construction methodologies, material applications, and manufacturer-supplier coordination.
  • Deep understanding of architectural building systems, project work plans, schedules, staffing, and budgets.
  • Advanced knowledge, including sustainability practices, integrated design principles, and LEED guidelines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Autodesk Revit, and familiar with Newforma.
  • Excel in professional communication, both verbal and written.
  • Thrive in team environments, while meeting deadlines consistently.
  • Demonstrate a highly self-motivated personality.
Essential

Qualifications:
  • Professional Degree in Architecture (B. Arch or M. Arch) from an accredited program.
  • A minimum of 15 years’ experience in architectural practice with prior experience in all phases of architectural projects.
  • Project experience with sport stadiums, arenas, convention centers, hospitality, and aviation a strong plus.
  • Registered Architect with a current license.
  • NCARB registration preferred LEED not required, but a plus.
  • Travel will be required.
Compensation:
  • The projected salary range for this opportunity is $145,000 - $160,000 annually, and may be more or less depending on education, skills and experience.
