We are seeking an experienced architect to lead project design and develop team capacities.
Position Responsibilities- Actively lead distinct portions of a project with periodic supervision by project leadership.
- Exhibit initiative, process innovation, problem solving, and decision quality with high precision and accuracy at a project level.
- Produce, coordinate, and/or oversee presentation and contract deliverables such as diagrams, 3D models, drawings, renderings, physical models, and animations.
- Communicate internally with project teams and externally with consultants and clients through timely and appropriate written, oral, and visual means.
- Create and innovate with strong conceptual design ability and integrate interdisciplinary criteria to advance the design of distinct portions of large projects or entire projects of a small scale.
- Collaborate at project, consultant team, and client team levels by critically and constructively evaluating ideas.
- Contribute to and actively participate within the studio and office.
- Demonstrate advanced understanding of building materials, systems, specifications, codes, details, and construction techniques.
- Enrich design concepts through technical strategies and effectively use appropriate tools to design and document at all project phases.
- Proactively check and coordinate project documents for compliance with technical requirements.
- Manage time and workload of own work efforts and those of others to meet project task deadlines and commitments, occasionally interacting with and directing team members.
- Inspire and lead others by example, mentor and train staff, and define team member expectations.
- Empower others and delegate appropriately based on team members’ abilities and potential.
- Develop and manage a clear and consistent work plan to achieve project budget, deliverables, and schedule.
- Engage in internal and external professional development opportunities.
- Contribute to the implementation of sustainable strategies and develop staff knowledge.
- Contribute to the development of standards, policies, and procedures.
- Protect the firm from financial and legal risk.
- Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Accredited degree in architecture or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience.
- Licensed architect with current registration in the region.
- Strong proficiency in Revit, BIM, and AutoCAD.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling software (Rhino, parametric, rendering software) and other graphic software.
- Advanced knowledge of architectural building systems, Construction Types I, II & IV, sustainability, and integrated design.
- Proficiency in construction management and related software.
- Advanced knowledge of building code and ability to research and apply it.
- LEED accreditation preferred.
