• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design.

• Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

As an Interaction Designer, you’ll apply user‑centered design methods to craft industry‑leading user experiences from concept to execution, working with design partners to evolve the Google design language to build beautiful, innovative products.

We ensure Google’s payment solutions feel "native" everywhere, from the bustling streets of Sao Paulo to the digital‑first hubs of Southeast Asia. In this role, you will craft seamless experiences across both desktop and mobile platforms. You will have an understanding of design systems, a mix of interaction design and visual craft, for collaborating with a dedicated team. You will also have a builder’s mindset.

You will grow on ambiguity and will be analyzing market landscapes, understanding local billing behaviors (like PIX in Brazil or UPI in India), and proposing design initiatives that solve specific regional pain points.

Whether it is paying online with Autofill, using tap and pay in stores, or using the Google Pay app, the Payments team at Google is focused on making payments simple, seamless, and secure. In addition to consumer payment technologies, the Payments team also powers the money movement between Google and its consumers and businesses.

• Lead the design journey from early‑stage market concepts to global launch by defining use cases, user flows, wireframes, and high‑fidelity mockups.
• Apply and extend the design system by building scalable, highly‑polished, and reusable interaction patterns for a global audience across desktop and mobile platforms.
• Analyze unique market landscapes and local billing behaviors to propose and build market‑specific design initiatives that scale payments reach.
• Partner closely with product managers, engineers, and researchers to translate complex cross‑functional requirements and global challenges into elegant, user‑centered solutions.
• Utilize AI tools and rapid prototyping to visualize agentic workflows and iterate on product experiences based on user research and market feedback.
