About YouWe seek a Junior Interior Designer who specializes in procurement. The ideal candidate can work cross‑functionally in both interior design and interior architecture, but mostly on the FF&E side, and is interested in working directly with architects in the firm, and who has the ability to perform at a level typically associated with 3 years of interior design office experience. A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a directly related field and previous US office work experience are required.
We'relooking for the following:
- Design excellence in the modernist idiom.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with experience managing procurement, vendor and contractor relations.
- Experience creating FF&E proposal packages, purchase orders, and expediting to track furnishings from order through installation required.
- Experience selecting and specifying furnishings, lighting, hardware, window coverings, materials and finishes.
- Experience developing design documents, drawings, elevations, details, furniture plans, client presentations, 2D/3D renderings, and preparing material palettes to demonstrate design ideas.
- Ability to effectively work cross‑functionally with the in‑house architectural team
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to perform site measurements, construction site visits, respond to RFIs, review shop drawings and control samples, and participate in furniture installations
- ArchiCAD knowledge is desired but not required, but previous 3D CAD modeling (BIM) experience in some software is required.
You will participate in our team‑oriented design and production process under the supervision of various senior staff members including primarily under our Lead Interior Designer, in our holistic interior/architectural designs.
Salary RangeCommensurate with experience, ranging from $40 to $45 per hour.
