We’re looking for a talented Product Design Technologist to join our forward-thinking Industrial Design team in San Francisco. This is a fully on-site role dedicated to serving the creative needs of the design studio, rather than traditional hardware engineering validation. In this role, you’ll be the heartbeat of our physical design process—translating visionary concepts into reality through advanced fabrication and influencing the studio through your technical mastery of making.

• Build diverse prototypes: Fabricate a wide array of physical models for the design team — from quick, iterative shape studies to high-fidelity, presentation-ready prototypes.
• CAD & CAM programming: Translate CAD models or rough concepts into well-executed physical objects using Rhino, Siemens NX, and Fusion 360.
• Operate machinery and techniques: Set up and run CNC machines, laser cutters, 3D printers, and manual tools; perform molding, casting, blasting, and finishing.
• Material exploration: Build models using diverse materials and help explore new finishes, textures, colors, and processes.
• Be an inspiration: Serve as the studio’s subject matter expert in making and foster a culture of craftsmanship.

• 5+ years of experience as a prototype engineer, model maker, or in a similar role.
• Strong CAD/CAM experience with Rhino, Siemens NX, and Fusion 360.
• Hands-on experience operating CNC machines, laser cutters, and various 3D printing technologies.
• Deep expertise in building high-quality models from diverse materials.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality.
• A portfolio demonstrating mastery in model making, workflows, and craftsmanship.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and solve complex physical challenges.
• Ability to work 100% on-site at our San Francisco location.

Oura takes a market-based approach to pay, which may vary by location. US locations are categorized into tiers by a cost of labor index. Offers reflect job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, peer equity, and market conditions, and may be adjusted in the future. Region 1: $172,000 - $203,000.
