Job Description & How to Apply Below
We’re looking for a Staff Designer (often referred to as a Junior Designer in our industry) to
join our team in San Francisco.
This is not an entry-level position. This role is central to how our studio operates, and we’re
looking for someone with at least two years of full-time experience working at a reputable
interior design firm. You’ll be trusted with real responsibility, expected to contribute
meaningfully across multiple projects, and supported as you grow.
If you’re technically strong, design-driven, organized, and excited about being part of a
collaborative studio, this could be a great fit.
What You’ll Do
- Produce construction and design documentation, with a high level of proficiency in AutoCAD (floor plans, furniture plans, elevations, reflected ceiling plans, sections, and related drawings)
- Support multiple projects at once, adjusting priorities as needed
- Assist with finish plans, specifications, and material selections
- Develop presentation materials, including mood boards, style guides, and layouts
- Work in Sketch Up and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and Photoshop are used
- regularly)
- Participate in client meetings, site visits, installations, and photo shoots
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, vendors, consultants, and contractors
- Contribute positively to studio culture and day-to-day collaboration
- Rendering experience, especially photo-realistic rendering, is a strong plus and may impact compensation.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2 years of full-time experience at a recognized interior design firm
- Advanced AutoCAD skills are a must. This is non-negotiable.
- Working knowledge of Sketch Up and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and Photoshop)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Clear, confident communication and a service-oriented mindset
- Comfort working across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- A genuine love for interior design and the industry as a whole
