The Encompass Group is partnering with a growing architecture and design firm to identify an experienced Architectural Job Captain to join their San Francisco team.

What You’ll DoAs a Job Captain, you'll serve as a technical leader, ensuring projects move efficiently from concept through construction administration. You'll collaborate closely with architects, designers, project managers, consultants, and contractors while maintaining the highest standards of quality and documentation.
Responsibilities include:- Lead the development and coordination of construction documents from SD through CD.
- Perform site surveys, field verification, and existing conditions documentation.
- Coordinate with consultants, engineers, contractors, and internal project teams.
- Review building codes, accessibility requirements, and constructability throughout the design process.
- Support permitting efforts and respond to plan check comments.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and construction administration activities.
- Participate in site visits and field observations during construction.
- Produce and review detailed Revit documentation while maintaining quality assurance standards.
- Help solve technical challenges and develop practical, creative design solutions.
- 6+ years of architectural experience (5+ years considered for strong candidates with relevant technical experience).
- Experience supporting workplace interiors, tenant improvements, commercial interiors, or landlord improvement projects.
- Strong proficiency with Revit and working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Experience producing construction documents and coordinating consultant drawings.
- Knowledge of building codes, accessibility requirements, construction detailing, and permitting.
- Experience with construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, site observations, and field coordination.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while working independently and collaboratively.

$85,000–$110,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
