Senior User Experience Designer

Derflan is seeking a User Experience Designer IV to support a high-impact consulting engagement within a global consumer technology organization. This highly visible role serves as a senior UX design partner responsible for creating intuitive, customer-centered experiences across mobile, web, and connected platforms. You'll collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Researchers, and Designers to shape engaging digital experiences while influencing product direction through thoughtful, user-centered design.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced product designer who enjoys translating complex customer needs into elegant, intuitive experiences. You'll own the UX design process from discovery and research through concept development, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs while partnering with cross-functional teams to build products that delight customers across multiple platforms.

• Lead end-to-end UX design across customer-facing digital experiences spanning mobile, web, and connected platforms.
• Drive the complete design process, including discovery, research, customer journeys, concept development, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs.
• Translate high-level product requirements into intuitive user flows, interactions, and customer experiences.
• Partner closely with Product Managers to define customer journeys, user flows, and feature requirements.
• Collaborate with Engineers, Researchers, Designers, and business stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Design responsive, accessible experiences that scale across multiple devices and platforms.
• Leverage existing design systems and pattern libraries while identifying opportunities to improve the overall customer experience.
• Validate design decisions through research, testing, customer feedback, and data-driven insights.
• Present design concepts, rationale, and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders and leadership.
• Balance customer needs, technical constraints, and business objectives to deliver exceptional user experiences.
• Stay current on UX trends, emerging technologies, and digital design best practices while continuously improving customer experiences.

• Previous Amazon or AWS experience is required.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in UX Design, Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Psychology, Behavioral Economics, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• 6+ years of UX or Product Design experience creating customer-facing digital products.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UX design for web, mobile, or emerging digital platforms.
• Expert proficiency with Figma.
• Experience designing responsive mobile and web applications.
• Experience collaborating closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Researchers, and cross-functional business partners.
• Experience working with design systems, component libraries, and user research methodologies.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling abilities.
• Customer-focused mindset with exceptional attention to detail.

• Experience designing products within entertainment, media, music, streaming, or e-commerce environments.
• Experience leading UX design for complex, cross-platform customer experiences.
• Experience integrating qualitative and quantitative customer insights into design decisions.
• Experience working with machine learning or AI-enabled product experiences.
• Experience presenting UX strategy and design rationale to executive stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple design initiatives while collaborating across cross-functional teams.
• Experience operating successfully in fast-paced, highly ambiguous environments.
