Our client is a highly regarded mid-sized multidisciplinary architecture and design studio known for its thoughtful, collaborative approach and strong design culture is currently seeking a workplace focused Project Designer to join their San Francisco team.

With a diverse portfolio spanning workplace and commercial environments, the studio brings together creativity, functionality, and a deep understanding of how people experience and interact with the spaces they occupy. This is an exciting opportunity for a designer who enjoys being hands‑on throughout the design process, from developing initial concepts and presentations through design development, documentation, and project delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong Revit proficiency, coupled with technical and documentation capabilities and well‑rounded knowledge of FF&E, contract furniture, millwork, joinery, and interior finishes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to projects from initial concept through design development, documentation, and execution.
  • Develop, guide, and present thoughtful design concepts to clients and stakeholder groups.
  • Lead the development of design deliverables, including renderings, finish plans, elevations, material selections, and presentation materials.
  • Develop and coordinate FF&E selections with vendors, dealers, and manufacturers, ensuring alignment with design intent, budget, and schedule.
  • Produce and coordinate detailed interior documentation and drawing sets, with a strong focus on accuracy, detailing, and constructability.
  • Work closely with project managers, architects, consultants, contractors, and vendors to resolve design and technical challenges.
  • Incorporate client and stakeholder feedback throughout the design process while maintaining the overall design vision.
  • Support code compliance, construction planning, quality assurance, and project coordination.
  • Utilize Revit to develop comprehensive construction documentation and efficiently communicate design intent.
  • Review and mark up drawing sets, coordinating information across disciplines to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with project teams, contractors, vendors, and consultants throughout project delivery.
Key Skills/

Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of post‑graduate professional experience.
  • Strong professional experience within workplace / corporate interiors is required.
  • Highly proficient in Revit, with strong technical and documentation capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of interior detailing, construction, codes, and constructability.
  • Well‑rounded knowledge of FF&E, contract furniture, millwork, joinery, and interior finishes.
  • Experience developing FF&E RFPs and working with dealers, vendors, and manufacturers.
  • Strong understanding of project budgets, schedules, and drawing set coordination.
  • Ability to develop compelling presentations and communicate design concepts clearly, both visually and verbally.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence working directly with clients and project stakeholders.
  • Certification or licensure is preferred but not required.
