Skurman Architects is a renowned classical architecture firm located in San Francisco, acclaimed both nationally and internationally for our custom-designed homes.
Position OverviewWe are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience, preferably in classical architecture, and possess proficiency in AutoCAD. This role requires a deep appreciation for classical design principles and the ability to apply them creatively and effectively in various projects. Additionally, this is not a remote position.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage architectural projects from concept through completion, ensuring alignment with the firm's classical design ethos.
- Collaborate with the firm’s principals and fellow senior architects to understand their vision and translate it into detailed architectural plans and designs.
- Oversee project teams, providing guidance and mentorship to junior architects and designers.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Utilize AutoCAD to create precise and detailed architectural drawings.
- Conduct site visits to ensure projects are executed according to design specifications and quality standards.
- Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in architecture to continuously enhance design solutions.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
- 10 years professional experience, at minimum.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is required; experience with other design software is a plus.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in traditional and classical architectural styles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and team members.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
