Junior Designer

City Real Estate is seeking a highly organized, creative, and detail-oriented Junior Designer to join our Operations team. This is an entry-level opportunity for a design-minded professional looking to build hands-on experience in residential design, staging, and property preparation. The role focuses on the design and visual preparation of residential properties for market, while also managing the budgets, vendors, inventory, and logistics that bring each project together.

The role focuses on the design and visual preparation of residential properties for market, while also managing the budgets, vendors, inventory, and logistics that bring each project together.

You will work closely with our operations team, agents, vendors, and staging partners to help prepare homes for photography, showings, and open houses.

• Property Design & Preparation: Assist in determining the design needs of each property, from cosmetic updates and furniture placement to lighting, finishes, and overall presentation.
• Staging & Styling: Select and arrange furniture, art, and accessories to complement each home's architecture, layout, and target market. Pack, deliver, and install staging pieces as needed.
• Sourcing & Purchasing: Research and source furniture, decor, hardware, lighting fixtures, and materials for property updates and staging projects, working within established budgets.
• Vendor Coordination: Schedule and meet with painters, cleaners, contractors, and handymen on-site to communicate project needs, monitor progress, and ensure work is completed to the expected standard and timeline.
• Budget Tracking: Manage and maintain detailed Excel spreadsheets to track property updates, staging costs, and vendor invoices, ensuring all projects stay within budget.
• Inventory Management: Organize and maintain our staging furniture and decor inventory, including tracking items, coordinating storage, and identifying needs for new purchases.
• Project Coordination: Manage multiple property timelines simultaneously, ensuring design updates, vendors, staging, and other preparation work are completed ahead of photography and listing deadlines.

• Design Background: Degree, certification, or equivalent training in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Staging, or a related field.
• Eye for Design: Strong understanding of residential interiors, spatial planning, proportion, materials, and current design trends.
• Organization: Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple properties and deadlines simultaneously.
• Technical: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Communication: Comfortable communicating with agents, vendors, contractors, clients, and team members in both professional and on-site environments.
• Physical: Ability to spend time on your feet, travel between properties, and lift/move up to 25 lbs of decor and small furniture.

• Compensation: $60,000–$80,000
