Head of Clinical — Surgical Robotics (On-site, SF Bay Area)

We’re working with a surgical robotics company that applies the systems thinking, tooling, and pace you’d expect in autonomous vehicles or aerospace but to one of the most meaningful challenges there is: improving and saving lives through surgery.

This is a Head of Clinical role, but not in the conventional sense.

Clinical here is not a downstream, box‑ticking function. It’s a core product accelerator

You’ll own clinical strategy end‑to‑end, working hand‑in‑hand with product, engineering, and regulatory to ensure every case, study, and surgeon interaction drives real learning and faster iteration.

In practice, you’ll be constantly asking:

• How do we learn more from every case?
• How do we design clinical work that directly informs product decisions?
• How do we partner with surgeons as collaborators, not just trial sites?
• How do we balance speed, safety, and evidence without defaulting to inertia?

This is not about running slow, over‑burdened trials. It’s about designing lean, high‑signal clinical programs from early learning studies through to FDA‑defining work that keep pace with a software‑first product roadmap.

You might come from:

• Surgical robotics or interventional Med Tech
• A clinical leadership role in a fast‑moving device company
• A background combining clinical operations with strong product intuition
