Salary Range: Faculty are placed on a salary scale ranging from $82,000 to $168,000, determined by their years of teaching experience.
Salary will be prorated based on FTE.

Position Overview
Lick-Wilmerding High School seeks a dedicated movement, SEL, and health educator to join the Body-Mind Education Department’s ninth-grade team beginning August 2025. This is a one year 40 - 80% interim position. The BME department is a collaborative, supportive, student-centered team that nurtures students’ capacity to be active in their own social, emotional, and physical wellbeing, providing tools for developing self-awareness, building positive relationships with self and others, and learning to navigate the joys and challenges of their lives with perspective, wisdom, and skill.
As an institution committed to educating the whole child, LWHS both invites and expects teaching faculty to participate fully in the academic and co-curricular life of the school. This includes, but is not limited to, furthering the mission of the school through participating in our Public Purpose and DEI Programs; as well as routine attendance in all curricular team meetings, department meetings, faculty meetings, and office hours to support students when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach four sections of Body-Mind Education (movement, SEL, and Health & Wellness sessions) to ninth-graders in collaboration with the team.
- Attend BME Department and/or Team Meetings approximately once per week.
- Attend Faculty Meetings after school twice a month.
- Fulfill school-wide responsibilities, including: chaperoning student events, working with admissions, and participating in the life of the school.
- Engage in ongoing professional development under guidance of Department Chair and Dean of Faculty.

Job Specific Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a health, science, or education related field.
- Expertise and teaching experience in a body-mind movement discipline that combines physicality with social-emotional learning.
