Opportunity

Join the School of Biomedical Engineering within the Faculty of Engineering at UNSW as a Lecturer in a Teaching and Research role. This role is intended to support the teaching, course convening, and research duties of a staff member undertaking a Faculty appointment and an ARC Future Fellowship. In this position, you will contribute high‑quality teaching and research in biomedical engineering, with a particular focus on mammalian cell‑biomaterial interactions, molecular biology, and the development and characterisation of biomaterials.

Skills And Experience
  • PhD in Biomedical Engineering, or a closely related field
  • Experience in the analysis of mammalian cell‑biomaterial interactions, molecular biology, and biomaterials development and characterisation
  • Demonstrated track record of high‑quality research outcomes and leadership
  • Evidence of coursework teaching development and delivery that inspires student learning and development and a passion for educational excellence
  • Evidence of ability to support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds and support student equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and productively within a team and build effective professional relationships with academics, University professional staff, students, and industry
  • Highly developed interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
  • An understanding of and commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines
  • Knowledge of health and safety (psychosocial and physical) responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training
