Overview
Carney, Sandoe & Associates, an education recruitment organization, is currently seeking a Director, Mission & Ministry for the school year at a Catholic school in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Responsibilities- Lead as the institutional representative of the school and the Roman Catholic Church.
- Serve as a member of the School Administrative Council, clearly articulating the school's vision.
- Guide members of the School Administrative Council and the Board of Trustees regarding questions about identity and support in leading orientations and retreats.
- Direct the Office of Mission and Ministry focusing on the integration of DEIA and Dignity Consciousness work.
- Continue implementing and growing Restorative Practices across school curriculum.
- Offer visionary leadership to educators involved in student formation, ensuring that mission and educational philosophy are closely aligned with strategic goals and priorities.
- Supervise the Office of Mission & Ministry team, including the Assistant for Pastoral Care, Assistant to the Director for Apostolic Outreach, Prep Campus Ministry team, and the Lower School Coordinator for Service Learning.
- Oversee the Mission and Ministry budget in collaboration with the Finance and Accounting department.
- Work closely with Pastoral Care and the Campus Ministry teams to implement a meaningful approach to communal prayer and retreat experiences.
- Collaborate with Lower and Middle School Curriculum Directors to align religious education initiatives with broader curricular goals and school mission
- Partner with Admissions, Communications, and Advancement teams to advance mission-centered recruitment, marketing, communications, events, and fundraising initiatives.
- Master's degree in Religious Studies, Theology, or Pastoral Studies or a related discipline is required.
- Deep understanding of the connection between the Christian Gospels, school mission and educational philosophy.
- Experience implementing Restorative Justice practices in K-12 setting.
- At least 5 years of K-12 experience teaching world religions, church history, theology, and scripture preferred.
- Experience in campus ministry.
- A desire to participate fully in the school's community.
- Excellent writing, communication, and public speaking skills.
- Cultural competence and enthusiasm for working with a diverse and dynamic community.
Compensation and benefit packages are competitive but will differ by school and will typically depend on geographic location, your experience, and your level of degree.
