Must have valid SC Teacher Certificate/License or anticipate Certificate/License prior to the school year.

Secondary Spanish candidates must be able to perform the following:
- Plan, prepare, and create lesson plans that are reflective of established curriculum and state standards.
- Provide quality instruction based on established curriculum and state standards.
- Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
- Display a commitment to learning for all students.
- Possess a strong background in foreign language instruction.
- Ability to implement differentiated instruction and/or instructional strategies that are reflective of best practices.
- Create a positive educational climate for students.
- Meet course and school-wide student performance goals.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions and professional development as required.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date gradebook via Power School throughout the school year.
- Observe and evaluate student performance.
- Collaborate in grade level and department teams to discuss student work, share best practices, and ensure student mastery of standards.
- Work with program coordinators to ensure initiatives are being met.
- Prepare and distribute required reports.
- Manage student behavior in the classroom by invoking approved disciplinary procedures.
- Establish appropriate ongoing communications with parents and guardians in order to report student performance and progress.
