Star Academy is a private, non-profit, and California state-certified Non-Public School (NPS) that specializes in education for students with mild to moderate learning differences in grades 3-12. The Individualized Instruction Teacher for Special Education (SPED) will work full-time on-site at Star Academy in San Rafael. The Individualized Instruction Teacher will be responsible for implementing individualized lesson plans for students with learning differences, delivering engaging instruction, and adapting teaching methods to meet the student's unique needs.
Qualifications- Strong skills in Lesson Planning and Teaching to design and implement individualized learning programs
- Background in Education and Training, with a focus on supporting students with complex learning differences
- Effective Communication skills to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary teaching team, with a lot of support and curricular resources.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Valid teaching credential in Special Education or relevant qualifications, and/or extensive relevant experience in working with students with complex learning differences.
- Patience, adaptability, creativity, and commitment to fostering student growth
