Special Education Teacher

Phaxis Education – San Francisco Bay Area (On-Site)

Phaxis Education is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Special Education Teacher to join a supportive school team in the San Francisco Bay Area for the 2025–2026 school year. This role is ideal for an educator who is passionate about inclusive learning, individualized instruction, and helping students with diverse needs reach their fullest potential.

The Special Education Teacher will provide specialized academic and behavioral support to students with IEPs in a structured, collaborative school environment. You will work closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families to deliver high-quality instruction, implement accommodations and modifications, and maintain compliance with special education requirements.

• Provide direct instruction to students with mild to moderate learning, behavioral, and developmental needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in alignment with state and federal regulations
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive practices and classroom accommodations
• Conduct assessments, progress monitoring, and data collection to inform instructional decisions
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent communication, and multidisciplinary team collaboration
• Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies, behavior supports, and differentiated instruction
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold compliance standards
• Foster a positive, supportive learning environment that promotes student confidence and success

• Valid California Education Specialist Credential (Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe) or eligibility
• Experience working with K–12 students with diverse learning needs
