St. Brendan Catholic School is a community parish school serving kindergarten‑8th graders, dedicated to Catholic education rooted in faith, academic excellence, and service. We are seeking an 80% part‑time 6th‑8th Grade Math and Algebra Teacher to join our faculty beginning August 1, 2026.

The ideal candidate will have a love of mathematics and the knowledge to support students in developing critical thinking, problem‑solving skills, vocabulary, and confidence in their mathematical abilities. The junior high math teacher will lesson‑plan, foster a structured, engaging, and supportive classroom environment that reflects the mission and values of Catholic education.

• Support and uphold the mission of St. Brendan School
• Plan and deliver engaging math instruction aligned with Archdiocesan and state standards
• Differentiate instruction where necessary to meet the diverse needs of middle schoolers
• Assess, grade, and document student progress
• Engage with parents when needed
• Create a positive, structured classroom environment conducive to learning
• Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies

• Bachelor’s Degree required (BA/BS)
• Valid California Teaching Credential (or willingness to obtain within five years)
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Willingness to support Catholic values and traditions

• Teaching experience at the middle school level
• Experience teaching mathematics in grades 6–8 and Algebra
• Experience in a Catholic school setting
• Ability to effectively integrate technology into instruction

Salary: 30 hours per week or 80% as per the San Francisco Archdiocesan Salary Scale $62,194‑138,967 base range (Advanced Education & Certifications not included).
