We are seeking an experienced High School Chemistry teacher who is passionate, engaging, and motivated to teach our eager learners. This position teaches Chemistry to incoming Grade 9 students and follows them through Grade 12, all within the International Baccalaureate framework. Candidates should be compelling educators with a strong science background and confidence in delivering a dynamic curriculum to young adolescents.
Responsibilities- Prepare engaging, differentiated lesson plans across the high school Chemistry curriculum.
- Teach the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum – professional development provided if needed.
- Develop, enhance, and document curriculum while coordinating with Science department colleagues.
- Regularly assess student progress.
- Participate fully in the professional community and contribute to school life.
- Serve as a High School Advisor.
- Participate in high school outdoor education, global travel trips, and ongoing professional development as needed.
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field;
Master’s degree preferred. - Excellent communication skills with students and parents.
- Positive history of collegiality and collaboration with teachers and administrators.
Salary range: $66,404 – $110,975, depending on experience and qualifications.
