Ideal CandidateA devoted, skillful teacher of the grammar stage who builds foundational literacy, numeracy, and habit through joyful, orderly instruction grounded in Scripture and partners with families to form disciplined, curious learners.
Qualifications & Requirements Education- Pursue the ACSI Teacher Certification, Classical Educator Equivalent, CA Teacher Credential, or Master’s in Classical Education within two years of initial employment.
Professional working experience in relevant field(s).

Full Time Salaried, Exempt - 40 hours a week
Sick Pay72 hours annually accrued at a rate of 1 hour per 30 hours worked.

CompensationAnnual salary paid bi monthly. Optional partial tuition credit available.
Key Responsibilities Classroom Instruction & Management- Serve as the Lead Teacher, setting the tone for a structured and nurturing learning environment.
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with the classical education philosophy.
- Organize and manage a structured, orderly, and visually inviting classroom to promote a peaceful and effective learning environment.
- Implement effective classroom management strategies, routines, and rhythms to foster student responsibility and attentiveness.
- Monitor student progress, evaluate performance, and provide timely feedback on academic achievement, social-emotional development, and character formation.
- Maintain and update the gradebook on the school’s server for parent accessibility and transparency.
- Assist with assessing incoming students to determine grade-level proficiency.
- Keep lesson plans updated and uploaded on the school server, creating curriculum maps for all grade-level subjects.
- Communicate regularly with parents and staff, fostering a strong partnership in student education.
- Participate in faculty meetings and professional development workshops to enhance teaching effectiveness.
- Provide lesson plans for substitute teachers and secure a substitute when needed (illness, doctor’s appointments, jury duty, etc.).
- Conduct parent-teacher conferences twice per year, scheduled outside normal school hours as needed.
- Complete regular report cards and progress reports in accordance with the academic calendar.
- Host parents in the classroom during Back-to-School Night and the All‑School Open House to showcase student learning and curriculum goals.
- Assist in school programming, including morning supervision, recess and lunch duty, drop‑off and pick‑up procedures.
- Support the broader teaching staff and school community by helping with school events, field trips, and special programming.
- Take responsibility for student learning outcomes, offering additional support and accommodations before, during, or after school when necessary.
