Digital Marketing
DSALTA is an AI-powered compliance platform trusted by forward-thinking organizations worldwide. Thanks to our proprietary AI Auditing technology, our Compliance Management solution offers the fastest compliance certifications in the market. We have 37+ paying customers and are building the Growth engine that takes us to the next stage.
Role DescriptionThis is our Founding Growth Marketer — the first senior, dedicated Growth hire, reporting directly to the CEO. You'll own the Growth function from a near-blank page: strategy, execution, and the numbers. We have marketing interns you'll direct for leverage, but you're the one building the machine and accountable for what it produces.
Your job in one line: turn DSALTA from a great product people find by accident into the compliance brand startup founders recognize and trust.
You’ll be measured on pipeline — qualified accounts — not MQLs, impressions, or other vanity metrics. If owning an aggressive number excites you more than it scares you, read on.
- Own the number. Set qualified-account and pipeline targets with the CEO and hit them. You live in pipeline, not vanity dashboards
- Run our content engine: opinionated, useful content on compliance — blog posts, Linked In threads, comparison pages, teardowns of "SOC 2 theater," data-driven reports, white papers, newsletters
- Own our entire inbound engine — you're the DRI for SEO and GEO
- Own organic discovery end to end so buyers find DSALTA the moment they start searching Google — and the moment they ask an AI which compliance platform to use
- Own our digital voice across Linked In, X, You Tube and beyond. Ghostwrite and amplify the co-founders' voice while building your own
- Show up in person. Attend SF-based startup events, meetups, and founder gatherings — sometimes alongside the CEO, sometimes solo as the face of DSALTA. Turn rooms into pipeline
- Build relationships across the startup ecosystem and auditor/partner network — accelerator communities, vendor lists, founder Slacks and Discords
- Ship free tools and lead magnets that capture intent — SOC 2 readiness assessments, policy template libraries, checklists that rank on search
- Run switcher and comparison plays that win founders frustrated with the incumbents
- Experiment relentlessly, track what works, kill what doesn't, and double down fast
- Direct our marketing interns and get real leverage out of them
- Collaborate cross-functionally — attend pipeline reviews, outbound sprints, and win/loss analysis. Wear multiple hats as needed
- Founding DNA. You've been the first (or one of the first) marketer at an early-stage startup, built awareness from scratch, and helped grow the company. This is the single most important thing we're looking for — tell us the story and the numbers
- KPI-driven and allergic to vanity metrics. You think in qualified accounts and pipeline, not MQLs. You'd rather own a hard number than hide behind impressions
- Must GSD. Creative, resourceful, and willing to do whatever it takes to hit target
- 2–4 years in a Growth/Marketing role, ideally at a SaaS or early-stage startup
- Based in the San Francisco Bay Area and comfortable representing DSALTA in person at events and meetups
- A strong writer and natural communicator — persuasive, clear, and confident across written and verbal channels
- Thrive in ambiguity and love solving messy problems with smart, scrappy solutions
- Data-driven and metrics-oriented, but also creative and experimental
- Proactive, self-motivated, organized, and reliable with follow-through
- Strong interest in startups, AI, and growth
- Experience in risk/compliance/security
- Prior experience working directly with startup founders or in early-stage teams
- Familiarity with research and outreach tools like Apollo or Clay
- Basic design chops (Figma, Canva) and comfort with light video editing
- Opportunity to be the Founding Growth Marketer and shape the Growth function from the ground up
- Work directly with the co-founders daily
- Healthy base + performance bonus, calibrated to experience — plus meaningful equity as one of our earliest employees
- A real in-person presence in the SF startup scene
- A chance to shape a product, a category voice, and a team from the ground up
Skip the generic cover letter. Send us:
- A short note on why you are a great fit this role and paste your Linked In URL
- The startup you helped grow as an early marketer, and a number that shows your impact
- 2–3 examples of things you’ve written, built, or shipped, plus your Linked In or portfolio
