3rd Grade Teacher - Cornerstone Academy

Position

Cornerstone Academy is looking for a 3rd Grade Teacher to guide students toward excellence in academic, social, physical, and spiritual development based on Christian principles. Under the direction of the Assistant Principal, this position will instruct students with planning and conducting activities for a balanced student experience of academic instruction.

• Instruct students individually and in groups using lectures, discussions, demonstrations, and hands‑on activities.
• Plan and conduct balanced academic instruction.
• Prepare materials and classroom for activities.
• Establish clear objectives for lessons and projects.
• Assign and grade class work and homework.
• Maintain accurate and complete student records per law and administrative regulations.
• Use technology to teach and communicate with students, administration, and parents.
• Supervise all activities and field trips to ensure child safety.
• Meet with parents to discuss their child’s progress.
• Collaborate with the same grade‑level teachers.
• Attend meetings, open houses, and professional training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Current California Preliminary or Cleared Multiple/Single Subject Teaching Credential.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Classroom management skills.
• One year of Microsoft Office Suite experience.
• Preferred:
  One year of classroom experience.
• Preferred:
  One year of experience in a Christian school.

Hours:

Mondays – Fridays;
Full‑time, 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
