Residence and Adjunct Faculty Positions - SBS​/IHA

Position Description

Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences / Institute for Health & Aging, University of California, San Francisco has a search for In-Residence and Adjunct Faculty positions at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank within the In-Residence or Adjunct series, depending on the candidate’s level of experience and extramural funding.

We seek scientists with an established research career whose expertise aligns with strategic research priorities for the School of Nursing: life course well-being, community and population health, digital health and data science, and implementation science, among others.

Successful candidates must hold a Doctoral Degree (or equivalent terminal degree) at the start of the appointment. Applications should include current or pending qualifications.

• Research programs synergistic with departmental teaching and institutional research priorities.
• A sustained record of extramural funding for research in one or more of the areas listed above, or current employment at a UCSF-affiliated organization.
• Demonstrated record of mentoring graduate students and other trainees, and expertise in teaching.
• Expectation to cover salary, fringe benefits, shared department and institute expenses, and other program-related expenses through extramural funding.

For 51% effort or higher appointments, the minimum pay (based on UC salary scales) ranges from 103,100 to 319,800; this position is part of the health sciences compensation plan.

For 50% effort or less appointments, the estimated range is 93,700 to 246,000.
