SCHOOL OF MEDICINE – Microbiology and Immunology

The Department of Microbiology and Immunology seeks a tenure‑track faculty member at the Assistant Professor level to join the Integrative Microbiology (iMicro) program, focusing on Microbiology, Microbial Pathogenesis and Host Response, Virology, and Innate Immunity. The program spans the Parnassus and Mission Bay campuses of UCSF, with research space located at Mission Bay.

• Establish and maintain a cutting‑edge research program in the areas described above.
• Excellently teach undergraduate and graduate courses.
• Engage in graduate student mentorship and participate in basic science graduate programs (e.g., Biomedical Sciences and Tetrad).

• Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree (or pending at appointment).
• Demonstrated significant potential in the field.
• Strong record of research and teaching potential.

• Curriculum Vitae (must list current or pending degrees).

• Statement of Research (1‑page summary of accomplishments and 1‑2 page future research plans).

Location:

San Francisco, CA.

Salary: $126 800–$164 300 (minimum base salary range) plus potential additional compensation.
