Elementary Music Teacher

Our Lady of Loretto Catholic School is seeking an elementary music teacher for the  school year. The school is located in Novato, CA and is inspired by Gospel values. The school aims to create a positive and safe learning environment where students develop their skills as loving Christians, innovative learners, giving citizens, humble individuals, and thoughtful communicators.

Requirements/qualifications include a minimum of a 4-year undergraduate degree, advanced degree desired, valid California multiple-subject credential preferred, experience and passion for teaching elementary school-age students, desire to embrace the Catholic ethos of the school and promote the Catholic spiritual development of students, ability to lead vocal music and provide accompaniment (piano/guitar skills strongly preferred), knowledge of Catholic liturgical music and traditions, strong classroom management skills, completion of required diocese-specific safe environment training (e.g., VIRTUS) and fingerprinting/background checks is mandatory, excellent verbal and written communication skills, sense of humor and willingness to be flexible and supportive of the overall school program.

Compensation is $25-$28/hour.
