Physique-Chimie Teacher Position

The International School of San Francisco is looking for a teacher of Physics-Chemistry for its middle and high school classes. In this role, this dynamic individual will be able to support the mission and values of the school and promote the programs and policies of the school driven by the Head of School and the management team. Teaching at The International School of San Francisco requires a real passion for a multicultural and multilingual environment in which one must communicate interculturally with our students, teachers, and families.

Possibility to request a detachment for holders of the national education

The salary scale for this position is $66,404 to $110,975 according to experience and education.

• Prepare and deliver Physics-Chemistry courses in accordance with national programs
• Implement pedagogical strategies adapted to meet the diverse needs of students
• Design and animate practical activities, laboratory experiments, and interdisciplinary projects
• Regularly evaluate students' progress and provide constructive feedback
• Actively participate in pedagogical team meetings and other school activities
• Actively participate in the life of the school community and establish positive relationships with its different members
• Ensure an inclusive and respectful learning environment for all individuals
• Follow and integrate recent advances in the field of Physics-Chemistry to enrich the courses offered

• University degree in Physics-Chemistry or a related field
• Recognized teaching certification (CAPES, Agrégation, or international equivalent) or teaching master's degree
• Previous teaching experience at the middle and/or high school level
• Excellent oral and written communication
• Interest in innovative pedagogy and interdisciplinary approaches

• Experience in teaching an international program such as the International Baccalaureate (IB)
• Previous experience in a bilingual or international school
• Leadership of a science club in middle or high school
• Ability to organize educational trips or science-related projects
• Participation in school trips
