Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree or higher in discipline/qualifying field or a closely related field
- hold current status as Registered Technologist (RT) in Radiography from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- To teach practicum courses, MUST also hold an unrestricted license as a Medical Radiologic Technologist-General from the Texas Medical Board
- Teaching experience is desired.
- This position is Security Sensitive, therefore, candidates will be subject to a criminal background check.
- If selected for a dual credit course(s), an additional background check requiring fingerprinting with the TX DPS will be required from the assigned ISD.
- Teach courses in accordance with the schedule of classes and follow the approved course descriptions and syllabi established by the Division faculty and administered by the associate dean/director.
- Teaching assignments may be on one or more of the college's campuses or off-site locations and may include evening and weekend programs. Collin College is not hiring for on-line instruction at this time.
- May include Dual Credit courses.
Perform other duties as assigned. Perform all duties and maintain all standards in accordance with college policies, procedures and core values.
Physical Demands, Working Conditions and Physical EffortSedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met. Positions in this class typically include talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions, plus stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching.
Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards. Office environment. Little physical effort required.
- In accordance with Texas Education Code §51.992, this position is designated for in-person work at a campus or other location of Collin College.
- Remote or telecommuting arrangements are not permitted except under specific circumstances defined by law, including temporary illness, approved distance education assignments, or other narrow statutory exceptions.
- All candidates should expect to perform duties on-site.
