Job Description & How to Apply Below

Crimson Education is the world’s leading college admissions consulting firm, with over 1,490 Ivy League offers and 2,410 to the US Top 15. We help ambitious students gain admission to the world’s top universities through expert-led guidance and proven, data-driven strategies. Crimson students are 7x more likely to get into the Ivy League than their peers. We were recently featured on the front page of the Wall Street Journal.

Crimson is the only college admissions consultancy that brings together:

  • Former Ivy League and Top 20 admissions officers to rigorously review and refine applications
  • Professors and PhD teaching fellows from leading universities to guide students through original, independent research — with pathways to selective peer-reviewed publication or conference presentation
  • Past ISEF winners and judges who coach students to compete for state, national, and international science fair awards
  • Capstone project mentors who help students design and scale leadership initiatives with real-world impact, measurable outcomes, and credible external validation

We’re backed by leading VC firms, including Tiger Global, Heal Partners, Ice House Ventures, and Movac, and recently closed a USD $40M Series D funding round at a USD $640M valuation. We now operate across 21 markets worldwide, including the US, Canada, UK, Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong, Australia, and New Zealand.

The Role

Standardized Test Prep is a global offering within Crimson’s suite, supporting students worldwide across SAT, ACT, PSAT, and SSAT through a combination of 1:1 tutoring and structured bootcamps. The program serves thousands of students annually across more than 30 international markets and plays a critical role in helping students achieve college-meaningful academic outcomes.

As Operations Lead, Test Prep, you are the operational backbone of that system — and the person most directly accountable for whether students are actually progressing.

You report to the Director of Standardized Test Prep and are the only other person accountable for delivery. That means you make decisions rather than pass them along:
Which instructor teaches which bootcamp. Whether a tutor meets our standard. Whether a student is fully utilizing their service program, and what happens when they aren’t.

Remote. Weekend availability required.

What are the main responsibilities for this role? Student Progress
  • Track attendance, homework, practice tests, tutoring hours used, and score improvement across every active cohort
  • Proactively identify students at risk of falling behind or under-using their program and intervene with internal and/or external outreach, as needed
  • Own student- and family-facing communication when participation or outcomes are at risk
  • Student and program health reporting holds to Crimson's standard without prompting
Tutor Management
  • Enforce hiring standard, make final hiring decisions, and own onboarding end to end
  • Monitor tutor performance against student results, session quality, reliability, and escalations
  • Own tutor performance issues, with coaching as needed: raise it, set the expectation, document it, follow through
  • Communicate SOPs and program updates with clear roadmap, and resolve issues before escalating
Bootcamp and program operations
  • Own bootcamp setup, enrollment, and delivery operations end to end: instructor assignment, session scheduling, enrollment, class communications, close-out, feedback collection
  • Monitor sessions live to ensure exemplary delivery
  • Actively manage delivery issues throughout active cohorts with swift resolution
Operational Systems
  • Maintain all operational trackers and reporting to a standard the Director can act on without re-checking
  • Find the system failures and fix them, so they’re documented and scalable
  • Report to the Director monthly on utilization and program health, flagging risks early
What skills and experience are required? What You’ll Need
  • 3–5+ years in operations, program coordination, or a similarly execution-heavy role
  • A genuine obsession with follow-through: you track, you document, you flag, you resolve
  • Proven ability to run multiple concurrent workflows across a high volume of clients, staff and stakeholders…
