Position SummaryTeach For All is seeking an entrepreneurial, strategically minded Director of Philanthropic Partnerships to expand support for its global work from the San Francisco Bay Area. This is a dynamic role designed for someone who thrives on connecting with people and inspiring them to support our mission.
The ideal candidate can create an active network within the Bay Area's globally-minded circles (tech, venture capital, and international development advocates) in support of Teach For All's work and is mission-driven, strategic, and an exceptional communicator who can build relationships and create partnerships with sophisticated entrepreneurs, including those in the next generation of philanthropists. The role will collaborate across Teach For All's global programmatic and development teams and report directly to the CEO.
ResponsibilitiesAs Director of Philanthropic Partnerships, your key responsibilities will include:
1. Building & Cultivating Relationships (60%)
- Identify new potential champions for Teach For All and/or our 60+ independent network partners
- Form connections into the tech, venture capital, and global philanthropic ecosystems to grow the base of support for our work
- Build trusting relationships with a diverse range of entrepreneurs and philanthropists
- Secure support with the help of Teach For All's CEO, program leadership, network partners and/or current champions
2. Strategic Positioning (40%)
- Conceptualize and execute creative strategies to elevate Teach For All's profile as a high-impact philanthropic priority for Bay Area tech leaders, founders and HNWIs
- Design and curate experiences (e.g. dinners, fireside chats, school visits) that help people understand our mission and work
- Identify and partner with key Bay Area champions to host events to grow awareness and support for our work
- Build understanding of Teach For All's approach, theory of change and impact for Bay Area audiences, articulating it effortlessly in both formal writing and casual conversation
- Represent Teach For All at events across the Bay Area, sometimes acting as a proxy for our CEO, to grow our organization and network's visibility
- Mission Driven:
Energized by mobilizing resources towards our particular work - Connector: 5+ years of experience, with a love for connecting with people across sectors
- Relationship Builder:
An intuitive reader of people who builds trust quickly and can navigate networks with humility and confidence - Intellectual Agility:
Strong critical thinking skills and ability to engage in high-level discussions with highly analytical people - Autonomy & Drive: A self-starter who is energized by a blank canvas and comfortable operating independently
- Exceptional Communicator:
Ability to convey nuanced, complex ideas simply and persuasively with diverse audiences - Previous development experience not required
- Prior experience as an alumni and/or leader from within the Teach For All network is preferred

CompensationThe salary range for this role is $140, annually and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
Travel and HoursThe work will primarily be delivered virtually. Regular travel in the Bay Area will be required. Given that we work across different time zones, some non-traditional hours for early or later calls are an expectation of this role.
