Full Time Teaching Adjunct Faculty Position

Position Summary

The Department of Bioengineering & Therapeutic Sciences at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) invites applications for a full‑time adjunct teaching position in the AICD3 Master’s program. The role focuses on teaching artificial intelligence and computational drug discovery and development courses, with additional support to related programs as needed.

• Develop and deliver AI/ML‑focused coursework, including lectures, small group sessions, and project advising.
• Plan and coordinate curriculum, schedule, and instructional materials.
• Administer proctoring, grading, and assessment of student performance.
• Mentor and advise students on research projects and career development.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to enhance program quality and student outcomes.

• Doctoral degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent) in computer science, bioengineering, pharmacology, or related fields.
• Demonstrated expertise in AI/ML applications to biotechnology and drug discovery.
• Prior teaching experience in the health sciences preferred.
• Industry experience and a record of curriculum development advantageous.
• Strong collaboration skills and a commitment to mentorship.
