Student Excellence Coach, Alpha - $150,000​/year USD

Your background includes performance at a level few experience firsthand: national or international athletics, graduation with honors from a highly selective university, employment at an elite firm, or launching a venture from the ground up. Now imagine channeling that rigor into working with K-12 students who have never encountered someone like you—someone prepared to demand excellence they didn't believe they could deliver.

Alpha relies on AI-driven 1-on-1 instruction to help students complete core academics in roughly two hours daily. The remainder of their time is dedicated to developing life competencies, pursuing meaningful interests, and genuine personal development. At Alpha's most rigorous campuses, students require more than oversight. They need a credible mentor whose accomplishments speak for themselves: someone capable of assessing dynamics, establishing expectations, and guiding them through hesitation, distraction, and doubt.

Your role is not instructional. AI delivers the academic content. Your responsibility is to inspire, coach, and enforce the same exacting standard you've applied to yourself. Forty percent of your time goes to direct 1-on-1 and small-group coaching that identifies obstacles and establishes stretch goals. Another forty percent involves facilitating structured life-skills sessions designed for mastery rather than engagement alone. The final twenty percent is spent opening each day with purposeful kickoffs that cultivate a culture where excellence is non-negotiable.

The trajectory here is depth over advancement. You begin by mastering Alpha's methodology and earning student trust. Within months, you become the person they allow to challenge them beyond their perceived limits. The return isn't upward mobility. It's continuity with the same students, year over year, maturing with your support. It's seeing a student who avoided eye contact in September deliver a poised presentation to a room of adults by May.

• Conducting 1-on-1 and small-group coaching using Coachbot analytics and student performance data to identify barriers, establish ambitious targets, and ensure students follow through
• Facilitating structured life-skills sessions designed for mastery, drawing on credible examples from your own high-level experience, and verifying mastery using Alpha's Test2

• Establishing the campus cultural standard each morning with focused kickoffs that communicate and reinforce high-performance expectations
• Monitoring student progress continuously and refining coaching approaches based on data rather than intuition
• Cultivating trusted mentor relationships with students and families through consistency, high expectations, and documented accountability plans

• Delivering lessons, creating curriculum, or evaluating assignments — Alpha's AI-driven academic platform manages instruction; your focus is motivation
• Presenting to large classroom groups of 30 students (your work centers on high-impact coaching in smaller settings, not large-group instruction)
• Supervising other staff or pursuing administrative advancement (this role prioritizes direct student outcomes, not organizational management)
• Attending faculty meetings or navigating institutional red tape (your schedule remains student-centered)
• Compromising standards to meet targets (if a student achieves 99%, your task is identifying what prevented 100%)

Drive outstanding student motivation, development, and life-skill proficiency at Alpha's most demanding campuses.

• Bachelor's degree
• At least one documented instance of exceptional performance in a highly competitive, globally recognized field (examples: medals in national or international competition, graduation with distinction from a top-tier university, employment at a highly selective firm or fellowship, training at an elite performing arts institution, or founding and growing a successful venture)
• At least 3 years of experience in student coaching, youth mentoring, athletic coaching, or leadership positions where you demonstrably improved others' performance
