Elementary Spanish Teacher

Stratford School seeks an Elementary Spanish Teacher to deliver engaging, immersion-style Spanish instruction to early elementary students. In this full-time role, you will plan standards-aligned lessons that build vocabulary, speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills, while integrating culture and cross-curricular projects. You will assess student progress, differentiate for varied proficiency levels, and maintain strong classroom management. Collaborating closely with grade-level teams and families, you'll support Stratford's mission of academic excellence, character development, and a nurturing, student-centered learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned Spanish lessons for elementary students
• Develop students' speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in Spanish
• Create a positive, well-managed, and culturally rich classroom environment
• Differentiate instruction to meet varied language proficiency and learning needs
• Assess student progress using formative and summative assessments
• Communicate regularly with families about student growth and classroom activities
• Collaborate with grade-level and specialist teams on cross-curricular projects
• Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives
• Integrate Stratford's character education into daily instruction
• Maintain accurate records, grades, and required documentation
