Job Description & How to Apply Below
Position: Academic Success Coach, Alpha - $150,000/year USD

You see refusing to lower the bar as the kindest thing you can offer a student. Your background includes competition, achievement, or creation at a level most people only encounter in articles: elite-level athletics, graduation with distinction from a top-tier university, acceptance into a highly selective firm, or a venture you launched and built. Now imagine channeling that intensity into a space filled with K-12 students who have never had someone like you advocating for them, holding them to standards they didn't believe they could meet.

If the idea of maintaining elite expectations for students strikes you as too demanding, this isn't the right fit.

Alpha leverages AI-driven 1-on-1 learning to enable students to complete core academics in roughly two hours each day. The remaining time is devoted to life skills, passion projects, and authentic development. At Alpha's most rigorous campuses, students require more than oversight. They need a credible mentor whose personal accomplishments model the standard: someone capable of assessing group dynamics, establishing expectations, and guiding students through resistance, distraction, and internal doubt.

Instruction isn't your responsibility. AI manages the academic content. Your role is to inspire, coach, and uphold the same exacting standard you've applied to yourself. Forty percent of your time goes to direct 1-on-1 and small-group coaching that identifies obstacles and establishes ambitious targets. Another forty percent involves facilitating structured life-skills workshops designed for mastery rather than engagement alone. The final twenty percent is devoted to morning sessions that set the daily tone and reinforce a culture in which mediocrity has no place.

The trajectory here emphasizes depth over advancement. You begin by mastering Alpha's approach and earning trust with students. Within months, you become the person they rely on to push them beyond perceived limits. The payoff isn't a title change. It's the same students, year over year, maturing with you as their constant advocate. It's witnessing a student who avoided eye contact in September deliver a confident presentation to a roomful of adults by May.

This position remains student-centered. Students are the purpose, not a pathway to another role. If your motivation to leave your current position is the mission rather than resume enhancement,

What You Will Be Doing
  • Conducting 1-on-1 and small-group coaching sessions using Coachbot analytics and student performance data to identify obstacles, establish ambitious objectives, and ensure accountability for execution
  • Facilitating structured life-skills workshops designed for mastery by drawing on credible examples from your own elite achievements, then evaluating mastery via Alpha's Test2

    Pass framework
  • Establishing the campus cultural standard each morning through focused sessions that emphasize high-performance expectations
  • Monitoring student advancement in real time and modifying coaching approaches based on data rather than intuition
  • Developing trusted mentorship relationships with students and families through consistent high standards and documented motivation strategies
What You Won’t Be Doing
  • Delivering lessons, creating curricula, or grading work — Alpha's AI-powered academic platform manages instruction; you manage motivation
  • Presenting to a classroom of 30 students (your focus is high-touch coaching in small settings, not lecture-style teaching)
  • Supervising other personnel or advancing through administrative ranks (this role centers on direct student impact, not organizational progression)
  • Attending faculty meetings or dealing with institutional red tape (your schedule remains student-focused)
  • Reducing standards to meet targets (if a student achieves 99%, your task is to determine what prevented 100%)
