About San Francisco Waldorf School

Founded in 1979, San Francisco Waldorf School is one of the leading Waldorf schools in North America, serving more than 350 students from Parent-Child through Grade 12 across two campuses in San Francisco. Rooted in the rich traditions of Waldorf education while deeply engaged with the life and culture of the Bay Area, SFWS is a vibrant and thoughtful learning community dedicated to educating the whole human being.

Our grade school campus (Preschool through Grade
8) is located in the Pacific Heights neighborhood and is easily accessible by public transportation. The school is known for its strong collegial culture, committed faculty, lively arts and music programs, and a deeply human approach to education that seeks to cultivate intellectual curiosity, creativity, resilience, and social responsibility in students.

For more than four decades, SFWS has fostered a dynamic educational environment where teachers are supported in bringing imagination, artistry, warmth, and pedagogical depth to their work. We value collaboration, ongoing professional growth, and the unique gifts each faculty member brings to the life of the school.

General Description

The Grade School Eurythmy Teacher joins a dedicated and collaborative faculty committed to bringing a rich, developmentally grounded Waldorf education to children from early childhood through middle school. This full-time position includes teaching eurythmy throughout the grade school and may also include a partial high school assignment, depending on the experience and interests of the successful candidate and the evolving needs of the school.

We value educators who are thoughtful observers of child development, committed to their own ongoing growth, and interested in contributing to a lively collegial culture. The position offers the opportunity to work within an experienced eurythmy department and a well-established Waldorf faculty while helping shape the future development of the program across the grade school and, potentially, the high school.
