- Directly manage, mentor and grow a team of reliability and component engineers
- Collaborate with a broad and multidisciplinary engineering team to ensure that our spacecraft will operate reliably over their entire mission duration
- Develop and own Astranis's approved EEE parts list and our qualification and screening processes for flight parts
- Support the engineering, production and mission operations teams with failure analysis and root cause analysis expertise
- Drive the growth of the power team through recruiting, interviewing, and hiring additional teammates to our rapidly expanding team
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, physics, materials science, or a related engineering field.
- 8+ years of experience as a component, reliability, or electrical engineer.
- 4+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: semiconductor physics, physics of failure, accelerated testing, design for reliability
- Knowledge of accelerated test profiles for component-level screening and qualification testing
- Understanding of HALT/HASS test profiles and reliability assessments
- Knowledge of supplier quality processes: production part approval process, advanced product quality planning, first article inspection reports, product lifecycle management systems, etc.
- Experience performing failure analysis and destructive physical analysis investigations to provide corrective actions and paths to closure
- Experience maintaining source control documentation for EEE components
- Experience gathering and interpreting PPAP documentation for EEE components
All our positions offer a compensation package that includes equity and robust benefits. Base pay is a single component of Astranis's total rewards package, which may also include equity in the form of incentive stock options, high-quality company‑subsidized healthcare, disability and life insurance benefits, flexible PTO, 401(K) retirement, and free on‑site catered meals. Astranis pay ranges are informed and defined through professional‑grade salary surveys and compensation data sources.
The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, and the level and scope of the position.
$145,000—$200,000 USD
