Job Description
Join the Prime Design Group at KPFF in Northern California and seize a unique opportunity to leverage your structural engineering expertise in a dynamic big-picture role beyond the daily design work. Based in either our Sacramento or San Francisco office, you’ll take the lead on impactful, multi-disciplinary projects for a diverse range of clients including public agencies, transportation authorities, and industrial firms.

- Project Management: Lead high-impact projects from start to finish, aligning client goals with innovative, cross-disciplinary solutions for exceptional results.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Architecture/Engineering, or a related field;
- At least five years of experience in structural engineering, demonstrating progressive growth and leadership in project management. Consulting experience with architects and contractors is a plus.
- California PE or SE license preferred.
- Skilled in project management and design software, including MS Project, AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam.
- Strong ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders clearly and accurately.
- Highly organized with the capability to keep teams focused on priorities and key next steps.
- Familiar with quality control and quality assurance processes, including performing integrated design reviews for complex projects.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Duties are primarily conducted in a standard office setting, requiring prolonged sitting at a desk or computer table.
- Occasionally, may be required to lift objects weighing up to 15 lbs.
- Occasionally visiting project locations and performing field inspections, which may involve walking, standing, kneeling, or navigating uneven terrain.
Compensation
We offer a competitive base salary for this role, tailored to your experience, education, and skills, with an expected range of $110,000 - $160,000. Additionally, we recognize and reward outstanding contributions with performance-based bonuses.
