We are seeking a Senior Protocol Engineer to lead the verification and carrier certification of next-generation mobile and IoT devices. This is a high-impact role focused on the deep-dive signaling handshake between the device and the network. We aren't looking for RF generalists, we need a specialist who can own the protocol stack from lab simulation to real-world field validation.

1+ year contract

Key Responsibilities- Carrier Certification: Drive the end-to-end verification process for T-Mobile, AT&T, and Verizon Lab & Field testing.
- Emergency Services (Must-Have): Lead the validation of critical signaling protocols, including E911, RTT, LPPe, and PIDF-LO
. - Network Emulation: Execute complex test plans using Keysight, Rohde & Schwartz (R&S), or Spirent simulators to mimic carrier-specific environments.
- Field & Drive Testing: Validate 5G (SA/NSA) and 4G/LTE features through rigorous drive testing for Mobile and IoT DUTs.
- Deep-Dive Debugging: Analyze modem logs and debug reported issues using QXDM, QCAT, ADB, and Wireshark to ensure protocol compliance.
- Experience: 5 to 10 years in 5G/LTE Protocol Verification.
- Signaling Expertise: Strong fundamental knowledge of SA/NSA and LTE features and protocol layers.
- Emergency Protocols: Demonstrated experience with E911 and RTT is a mandatory requirement.
- Tool Proficiency: Expert-level skills with Qualcomm tools (
QXDM/QCAT
) and log analysis. - Certification History: Proven experience meeting AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon certification standards.
