Position: Staff Mechanical Engineer

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or Mechatronics with 5 years of industry experience
  • ,
  • Experience designing and debugging electromechanical systems
  • ,
  • Proficiency in designing parts and assemblies using 3D modeling software (Solidworks and Onshape preferred). FEA experience (ANSYS preferred) an asset
  • ,
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment
  • ,
  • Hands on experience with 3D printing, sheet metal design, casting, injection molding, prototype manufacturing and assembly
  • ,
  • (Desirable) Experience drafting engineering drawings, conducting tolerance stack-up analysis, GD&T, etc
  • ,
  • (Desirable) Experience with embedded and edge devices, programming, industrial engineering, electrical system selection and design a plus

  • Develop designs for volume production methods, knowledge of casting, injection molding, stamping, and other volume production processes

  • Perform failure modes analysis
  • ,
  • Create work instructions for fabricating robotic systems
  • ,
  • Develop concepts for systems to meet design requirements
  • ,
  • Support robot deployments at customer sites as required
  • ,
  • Redesign robotic systems for volume manufacturing, focusing on reliability and cost optimization
