Materials Engineer, Data Science Manager
Our Client is the corporate venture arm of a manufacturer in Asia, a global leader in advanced materials, polymers, and specialty chemicals. They invest in visionary startups driving breakthroughs in semiconductors, nanomaterials, energy transition, advanced manufacturing
, and other frontier technologies.
This is a hands‑on role offering full exposure to the venture lifecycle—you’ll support deal sourcing, diligence, investment theses, and post‑investment collaboration with global R&D and business units.
What You’ll Do- Research emerging technologies and map strategic white space
- Support deal sourcing and manage inbound pipeline
- Assist with technical and market due diligence
- Build financial models and support valuation work
- Draft investment memos and presentation
- Help monitor portfolio performance and explore opportunities for collaboration
- Contribute to strategic projects and global innovation initiatives
- 1–3 years in CVC, VC, consulting or early‑stage startups
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in STEM or an MBA with strong analytical skills
- Curious mindset with interest in hard tech and deep science
- Strong research, writing, and financial modeling capabilities Bonus Points For
- Familiarity with semiconductors, nanotech, materials science, or climate innovation
- Japanese language skills (a plus, not required)
- Interest in working with global stakeholders and R&D teams
