PCBA Manufacturing Engineer

As a PCBA Manufacturing Engineer, you will work across design engineering, supply-chain, quality, and our manufacturing partners to drive PCBA manufacturing with on time delivery.

Role

* Define manufacturing readiness requirements and lead key milestone reviews to ensure all stakeholder deliverables are complete.

* Work with the Design Engineering team to identify and escalate manufacturing challenges early in product development by enforcing DFM, DFA and DFS principles.

* Drive closure of all operational issues during pre-production builds.

* Investigate failures in production, test, and integration. Identify and mitigate underlying root causes to prevent reoccurrence and foster continuous improvement.

* Deliver manufacturing processes capabilities including equipment capability, quality controls, materials characterization, and workmanship standards.

* Actively monitor the success of products and processes through the production ramp.

* Provide direction to contract manufacturing, suppliers, and engineers to manage quarantine and rework activities.

Requirements

* Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)

* 5+ years of experience in PCB/PCBA fabrication facility

* 3+ years supplier quality, manufacturing, or design experience

* Experience in board assembly process and equipment (for example: Stencil print, SPI, pick & place, reflow, AOI, ICT, x-ray inspection).

* Experience leading DFX reviews to deliver design to manufacturability, testability, quality, and reliability standards

* Must be onsite 5 days a week

* Certified or significantly familiar with IPC-610

Bonus

* Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)

* 7+ years of experience in PCBA/PCB supply chain, manufacturing or engineering.

* 5+ years' experience with industry standard PLM and DFX systems, Mentor/Valor preferred.

* Experience performing Design and Process Failure Modes and Effects Analyses.

* Experience with IPC standards for PCB, PCBA, and RFPC fabrication, assembly, and test.

* Experience in Polymeric application, including conformal coating, staking and underfill.

Astranis pay ranges are informed and defined through professional-grade salary surveys and compensation data sources. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, and the level and scope of the position.

$120,000—$175,000 USD
