The OpportunityOur client is a mission-driven technology company dedicated to reducing preventable firearm injuries and deaths through world-class engineering. They are seeking a high-autonomy Staff Supplier Industrialization Engineer to own and build their entire electrical supply chain from the ground up.
In this critical role, you will transition the company from early production into high-volume manufacturing. You aren't just managing vendors; you are the primary technical problem-solver on the factory floor, ensuring the reliability of the world's first truly smart firearm.
What You Will Do- End-to-End Ownership: Own the entire PCB/PCBA supplier category, from global identification and down-selection to qualification, NPI, and full-scale production.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Act as the hands-on technical owner for all supplier issues. You will work directly on SMT, assembly, and test lines to diagnose defects and lead root cause analysis.
- Global Travel: Travel extensively (50–75%) to supplier sites, primarily in Asia, to assess capabilities, audit processes, and ensure production readiness in real-time.
- Scale & Quality: Build a world-class supplier base capable of meeting Class 3 quality standards. Drive yield improvements, process validation, and capacity planning.
- Systems Implementation: Enforce robust quality systems using FMEA, APQP, PPAP, and structured testing to ensure predictable, high-quality output.
- The Expert: You have 5+ years of true industrialization experience, specifically within electrical components (PCB/PCBA).

- The Communicator: You can translate complex technical challenges into concise insights for executive leadership.
- The Traveler: You are excited by the prospect of being on the ground at global manufacturing sites for up to 75% of the time.
You will join a team of world-class engineers who have previously built robots, satellites, and supersonic jets. This is a rare opportunity to apply deep technical expertise to a product that will define the future of firearms safety for the next generation.
