About the RoleWe are seeking a CAD Engineer to support the design and development of critical aircraft structures, with a focus on control surfaces that directly impact flight performance and safety.
Working closely with Mechanical Engineers, you will translate detailed 3D models into high-quality, production-ready 2D drawings. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge electric aircraft programs in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, with strong potential for growth and increased responsibility.
Key Responsibilities- Create and release detailed 2D drawings from existing 3D CAD models and assemblies
- Collaborate with Mechanical Engineering teams on aircraft control surface structures
- Apply GD&T principles to ensure accuracy, quality, and manufacturability
- Support engineering change activity and design iterations in a dynamic environment
- Incorporate materials and manufacturing considerations into technical documentation
- Maintain configuration control and consistency across released drawings
- Contribute to continuous improvement of design and documentation processes
- Associate’s degree (or higher) in CAD, Mechanical Design, or related field
- Minimum 1+ year of Siemens NX experience (required)
- Experience creating mechanical part and assembly drawings
- Working knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawing standards
- Understanding of materials used in mechanical design
- Experience supporting fabrication and assembly processes
- Exposure to aerospace, automotive, or other highly engineered industries
- Interest in electric propulsion or advanced air mobility systems
- Mechanical Engineering degree (helpful but not required)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in cross-functional teams is essential
- High-performing individuals may take on expanded responsibilities as the program evolves
