About the Company

This organization is pioneering the future of urban air mobility through the development of all-electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. With a mission to enable safe, sustainable, and efficient air transportation, the team is building next-generation aircraft that redefine how people move.

About the Role

We are seeking a CAD Engineer to support the design and development of critical aircraft structures, with a focus on control surfaces that directly impact flight performance and safety.

Working closely with Mechanical Engineers, you will translate detailed 3D models into high-quality, production-ready 2D drawings. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge electric aircraft programs in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, with strong potential for growth and increased responsibility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and release detailed 2D drawings from existing 3D CAD models and assemblies
  • Collaborate with Mechanical Engineering teams on aircraft control surface structures
  • Apply GD&T principles to ensure accuracy, quality, and manufacturability
  • Support engineering change activity and design iterations in a dynamic environment
  • Incorporate materials and manufacturing considerations into technical documentation
  • Maintain configuration control and consistency across released drawings
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of design and documentation processes
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree (or higher) in CAD, Mechanical Design, or related field
  • Minimum 1+ year of Siemens NX experience (required)
  • Experience creating mechanical part and assembly drawings
  • Working knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawing standards
  • Understanding of materials used in mechanical design
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting fabrication and assembly processes
  • Exposure to aerospace, automotive, or other highly engineered industries
  • Interest in electric propulsion or advanced air mobility systems
  • Mechanical Engineering degree (helpful but not required)
Additional Information
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in cross-functional teams is essential
  • High-performing individuals may take on expanded responsibilities as the program evolves
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder
