About the Role
PEC Water is looking for a Water Resources Engineer with a strong background in transportation-related projects and experience in hydraulics and hydrology, drainage design, stormwater management, fish passage, and site civil design. As a key member of our water resources team, you will work on projects across the West Coast. This includes Caltrans, California High-Speed Rail (CAHSR), SFPUC, Alameda CTC, WSDOT, Sound Transit, City of Portland Bureau of Environmental Services (BES) and other major organizations.

. - Required 5-15 years of experience in civil and water resources engineering.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Micro Station.
- Experience with HEC-RAS or other H&H Analysis tools
- Ability to move to the Bay Area (CA) or Seattle (WA) within 6 months.
- Passionate to become active member of professional organizations.
- Licensed California/Washington Professional Engineer OR the ability to obtain a California PE within a year.
Established in 2022, PEC Water is a California-based civil engineering firm specializing in water resources and wet utility engineering for public infrastructure projects. Our team provides planning, analysis, and design services for pipeline and pump station rehabilitation and replacement, with specific experience in large-diameter water and sewer conveyance systems. Core services include hydraulic and hydrologic (H&H) analysis, condition assessment, and rehabilitation design for aging assets – including trenchless repair solutions – as well as drainage and stormwater management design, water quality facilities, and constructible temporary drainage solutions for transportation infrastructure.
PEC Water supports Caltrans-related projects through the preparation of Stormwater Data Reports, Location Hydraulic Studies, SWPPPs, and Temporary Erosion and Sediment Control Plans in accordance with Caltrans standards, and performs drainage, flow, and scour analyses associated with roadway and bridge infrastructure. Additionally, our team provides engineering design support during construction for rehabilitation, operational, and emergency repair projects delivered under as-needed task orders.
