Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- 3 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Experience with software development, system design and people management.
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.
- Experience with negotiating timelines and delivering projects involving multiple partner teams.
- Experience with managing teams working in networking.
- Experience working with customers to understand requirements and deliver simple solutions.
- Develop the mid-term technical goals and roadmap within the scope of your (often multiple) team(s). Evolve the roadmap to meet anticipated future requirements and infrastructure needs.
- Design, guide and vet systems designs within the scope of the broader area, and write product or system development code to solve ambiguous problems.
- Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
- Plan the roadmap for key network infrastructure initiatives.
- Work with cross‑functional partners across Serverless and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to deliver cross‑team projects and help customers find solutions to their blocking issues.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $207,000 – $301,000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits.
