Under general direction, the Administrative Engineer performs technical, administrative and supervisory engineering work in support of a wide range of capital improvement projects, engineering programs and project delivery within the Engineering division s position is responsible for supporting the successful delivery of design and construction projects, with emphasis on design management, technical review, drawing and specification development, quality assurance/quality control, cost and schedule management, and compliance with applicable codes, standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
This position also supervises and mentors engineering staff, provides technical leadership and helps establish consistent procedures, expectations and best practices for project delivery.
Education: Completion of a four (4) year college or university with a baccalaureate degree in one of the major fields of engineering.
Experience: Six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in administrative, design, planning and construction of engineering projects, including two (2) years of responsible supervisory and administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Desirable Qualifications- Possession of a Certificate of Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of California in one of the following disciplines: civil, mechanical, electrical, chemical (environmental/sanitary), or transportation (traffic).
- Demonstrate experience using Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit to develop, review, coordinate and manage engineering drawings, design models, and construction documents.
