Mechatronics Engineer - Founder - Start Up

As the Founding Mechatronics Engineer, you’ll lead design, development, and delivery of next-gen robotic platforms, end effectors, and teleoperation systems. You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with top-tier electrical engineers, own key architectural decisions, and bring novel hardware from prototype to production at scale.

• Full-stack hardware – Architect precision mechanical systems that are deeply integrated with electronics and controls, driving high-performance robot behavior.
• Manufacturing at speed – Lead DFM, supplier engagement, and QA processes to scale from lab builds to production units.
• Reliability as a product – Design with failure in mind: implement rigorous testing and validation to guarantee uptime in live customer deployments.

• 2–4 years in elite engineering environments (e.g. Tesla, SpaceX, Apple, Boston Dynamics, Google X)
• A Bachelor's or Master’s in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or both) from a top 25 university
• Experience shipping production hardware and managing manufacturing pipelines
• Proven ability to work across disciplines — especially mechanical + electrical integration
• Hands-on experience designing actuators, drive trains, or other precision systems
• Exposure to QA systems, validation methods, and field testing best practices
• Preferred:
  History of hands-on technical projects — e.g. Formula SAE, Robo Sub, Space Club, or other competitive engineering builds
