$120,000 - $150,000 Base Salary
We're partnering with a cutting-edge hardware technology company developing advanced sensing and automation solutions used in robotics, autonomous systems, and industrial applications. We are seeking an experienced
NPI Materials Program Manager
to lead material planning, procurement, supplier readiness, and supply chain execution for new product introductions, engineering prototypes, and production ramp activities.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end material planning, purchasing, and order execution for NPI, prototype, and engineering builds.
- Manage forecasts, purchase orders, Clear-to-Build (CTB) readiness, and material status tracking across multiple hardware programs.
- Coordinate with global suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure material availability and build continuity.
- Track component shortages, identify supply risks, and drive mitigation plans to support aggressive product launch schedules.
- Manage forecasting, logistics, drop shipments, and material readiness for complex mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical assemblies.
- Partner closely with Engineering, Program Management, Manufacturing, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to align material readiness with build schedules and production milestones.
- Support BOM reviews, tooling purchases, supplier performance, and operational readiness activities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Materials Management, Procurement, or NPI Program Management within a hardware, electronics, semiconductor, or advanced manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience supporting NPI programs from prototype through production.
- Experience managing mechanical, precision-machined, electrical, or electromechanical components.
- Strong experience working with contract manufacturers (CMs), EMS providers, and global suppliers.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (Net Suite preferred).
- Advanced Excel skills with experience managing forecasts, material trackers, CTB reports, and supply chain data.
- Ability to read and understand Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Strong cross-functional communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
- Experience in robotics, LiDAR, autonomous systems, advanced sensors, or other complex hardware products.
- Experience managing suppliers and manufacturing partners throughout Asia.
- Familiarity with costed BOMs (CBOMs), standard costing, and pre-production hardware builds.
